Well, I have seen Twilight 4 times now and feel I should review it. Overall I think it is a REALLY good movie. Yes, the CGI is badly done, the script feels rushed, many fluff scenes could have been deleted to make more room for more dialogue between Edward and Bella, and some scenes had some seriously bad acting. Kristen Stewart looked confused and in pain all too often…not in love. Robert Pattinson over-acted many times with his looks of torture and inward pain.
BUT..the movie has several darn near perfect scenes were everything clicked and we saw the story for what it is…beautiful. Some of those scenes were in the meadow, the first kiss scene, the vampire baseball game, and the prom.
There were things added to the movie that were not in the books but I think they were complimentary…my only criticism was that we could have had more Bella and Edward had they stuck closer to the book storyline. Robert Pattinson was perfect as Edward..beautiful and soulful just like the character. Also a real musician just like the character. He actually plays Bella’s lullaby on the piano in the movie.
The second time I watched the movie I was in a packed house with teens and preteens. There was a lot of giggling, screaming, oohing, and ahhing. It was hilarious and really made me long for those days myself. Without a doubt I would have been one of them…absolutely crazy in love with Edward/Robert.
I recommend you go see the movie and watch with an open mind. It really is a good film and I can’t wait for the movie sequel…coming out in 2010. I can barely wait.

No, I am not in the target demographic for the Twilight Saga (I’ll be 50 in a month). None the less, I am a huge fan of the books. No, they are not the most well written books. But, when you lose yourself in the story, you fall in love with the characters.
I can totally relate to Bella. Her lack of self confidence; her not seeing her own beauty; her not feeling that she deserves Edwards love. All of these feelings are felt by women of ALL ages. Alice is the type of girl we would ALL love to have as a best friend or sister. We’ve all known girls like Rosalie. Girls who, outwardly, appear unapproachable and distant. But, when given the chance to get to know them, you discover that they pretty much want the same things you do.
So, I counted the days until November 21, 2008. I was going to attend my very first Midnight Premier. I was so excited I could hardly contain myself. And I was happy to say I was not disappointed. In fact, when the dance scene came on the screen, I found myself checking my watch. There was no way 2 hrs. had passed. But they had. Unlike most fans of the books, I only came to them a couple of months ago. I did not have to wait for each new installment. But now I have to wait for New Moon and it is going to seem like an impossibly long wait.
